Poker Tip No.1: Get Rakeback

As far as I am concerned one of the major parts of playing poker is the money management. Many articles have been read on the size of game to play in relation to your bankroll but one of the areas that gets left behind for new players is with regards to how much you pay to play in the online tournaments. Typically it costs 9% (18% on some low buy in games on some sites) and this money is taken straight out of the prize pool and is used to pay affiliate commissions and to run the site upon which you are playing. Now even if you only play one $10+$1 Sit N Go per day that amounts to $365 per year. Of course many players play a lot more than this and get literally rack up thousands of dollars in fees each year. To make money in this game, therefore, you need to be winning about 60% of the time. You can help to get those % down to about 57% by being extra careful when you sign up to a poker site. What you need to do is to check whether the site that you are looking to open an account at is available with Rakeback or not. Do not and that is worth repeating DO NOT just sign up through the first affiliate link you see but check out the rakeback deals that are around. Of course some sites are not on rakeback so there is little choice but many are so it is worth checking out.

The following link to PKR will allow you to have a $25 sign up bonus and also 30% rakeback

Some good examples of sites out there who offer rakeback are Rakebrain who are currently offer 36% rakeback on Mansion Poker. Mansion run a $100k gtd tournament everyday which carries huge overlays and is the best value tournament online at the moment. You can also find similar offers at Rakebreak and Rakebackdeals.
